The contemporary jewel
The study of jewels starts from the most complex and articulate shapes and finishes with their extreme synthesis, where semirefractory grès or porcelain products are finely manipulated and trasformed into attractive objects that one can wear with extreme ease and simplicity.
Besides white or colored clays baked at high temperatures, vitrified clay or terra sigillata clay, the artist prefers to match semi-precious stones with glass,
leather yarns, steel and wood.
All pieces are unique in terms of shape and cromatic selection. This is how wearable works of art are conceived!
"The contemporary jewel is one of my major creative passions. I have always been inspired by primitive cultures where the decoration of the body has acquired
various symbolic meanings". (S.Casari)
